This website is operated under the name Size & Place. Questions about this policy: hello@sizeandplace.com.

The calculators and the numbers you enter

The Curtain Panel Calculator and the curtain length check are calculated entirely in your browser. The measurements you type are not sent to our server or anyone else, are not stored on your device, and are gone when you reload or close the page. You do not need an account, and the site has no forms that send information to us.

Cookies, local storage, analytics and advertising

This site does not set cookies and does not use local storage or similar technologies. It uses no analytics, no advertising, no social media plugins and no tracking pixels, and it does not load fonts, scripts or images from other websites. Because we do not track you across websites, browser signals such as Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control do not change anything here.

Server logs

Like most websites, our web server records each request it receives. A log entry contains the date and time, your IP address, the page or file requested, the information your browser sends with the request (such as the browser type, preferred language and the page that linked to us), and the server's response. Cookie and login headers are not recorded.

We use these logs only to keep the site working and secure, for example to find errors and investigate abuse. They are not used to build profiles, are not combined with other data, and are not shared or sold. Log files are rotated when they reach a set size, and rotated files are deleted automatically after 7 days; on a quiet site the current file can contain older entries until it is rotated. The logs are not included in our backups.

Hosting

The site runs on a virtual private server that we rent from Hostinger. The server and its logs are on that provider's infrastructure; the provider does not receive the calculators' inputs, because those never leave your browser.

Email

Messages sent to hello@sizeandplace.com are forwarded by our domain registrar's email forwarding service to the third-party mailbox we use to read and answer them. We use your email address and message only to reply, and keep them only as long as needed for that and for the record of any correction you reported. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Sharing and legal requests

We do not sell, rent or share personal information for advertising. We would only disclose server logs or email if the law requires it.

Links to other websites

Our guides link to sources such as retailer guides. When you follow a link, that website's own privacy policy applies.

Children

This site is meant for adults planning home purchases. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect their information.

Your questions and requests

To ask what information we hold about you (for example an email you sent) or to have it deleted, email hello@sizeandplace.com. We cannot match server log entries to a person unless you tell us your IP address and the time of your visit.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page, and its "Last updated" date, before we add analytics, advertising, affiliate links, forms or anything else that changes what is collected.

Affiliate disclosure

Today: there are currently no paid placements, affiliate links or ads on Size & Place. We earn nothing when you follow a link on this site or buy a product. The calculators' results do not depend on any commercial arrangement; they come only from the numbers you enter and the formulas on the methodology page.

In the future: we may join affiliate programs or show ads to cover running costs. Before that happens, this section will name the programs, affiliate links will be labeled where they appear, and this policy will describe any cookies or tracking those programs use.
